Parts Quality:

The Front piece has no soft materials like "resonators" that will degrade with time. The materials are all USA fabricated and designed to never degrade in quality or performance.

REAR DESIGN:

The Rear piece is not cosmetic in nature, but instead an evolved acoustic shape leading to an extension of an acoustic cavity, designed in tandem with the front piece, to maximize the new driver forces. Our design retains the beautiful Sennheiser rings, and is a natural progression of the original design.

A key aspect to this design is the grooves. While visually appealing and similar (cyberpunk) style to the original design, it was an intentional and integral design, as these grooves + thickness + material type are key to the acoustic properties, for proper dispersion of the back wave of the driver. There lies the complexity of standing waves, resonance, and deflection.

This was all calculated by @whitigir, who's technical "know-how" for the physics of the "rear acoustic piece" were an evolution inspired by the science of IEM spiral tip designs.

these grooves are stacked in layers and angled in conical profiles to specific gradients best to restore authentic bass, with also an elimination of aggressive Trebles, by taking advantage of the new increased central forces of the new frontal piece.

So this rear acoustic cavity was tuned to maximize the benefits of the front piece. This is why it could never have been accomplished before. As an analogy, think of this rear piece like the bottom flange of a rocket. As a rocket's bottom flange is tuned for the rockets maximum thrust.

Why should I buy?

There are countless "descriptors" that can be used to convey how the new sound has been improved, but then the most important issue is lost...

The issue is that, for a fraction of the cost of any other upgrade, mod, cable/equipment, you are instead getting a vastly improved HD800 variant, because our focus is on performance.

We are talking about an improvement putting it in a new class, in league with the highest and best elite headphones or IEMs today, costing in the thousands.

Why spend those thousands, to attain this level of sound, when here we have achieved it for less than a fraction of a cable upgrade? Wouldn't you rather learn how to install a low cost kit, than gamble your hard earned money away (literally thousands) on new equipment or anything else? To be clear, we are not against other types of upgrades, we just believe that none address our areas of performance, and none are more cost efficient than our performance upgrade solution.

We are confident that you will find The Centro-Force Mod to reach this true "end-game" performance, without having to go thru any other upgrade.

SIDE NOTE:

Because our improved performance gains are real and substantial, there has been many "growing pains" in getting this product out with "social media" issues from sites and resistance. We will strive to remedy these issues.

Since we are music enthusiasts first, we decided to go this route, to give benefits to the Sennheiser owner community.

We are currently noticing some resistance on getting the word out, but we are here to stay, as we don't need to rely on heavy profit margins to exist.
